New jobs in the Netherlands

Foreign investments bring numerous domestic jobs. 2013 saw a record of new jobs created by foreign investors who are appreciating the Dutch business climate. This attractiveness is crucial for employment in the coming years and new job openings are always welcomed for local and foreign employees in the Netherlands

The number of new jobs increased with more than 50% in 2013, compared to 2012 when the number of new jobs created by foreign investors was approximately 5,000. Some of the most important business sectors in the Netherlands where new projects lead to the creation of new jobs are research and development, distribution and service centre jobs.

A good investment climate

A recent survey shows that most foreign companies in the Netherlands believe that the country has a good to excellent investment climate. Only less than 10% of all the active foreign companies in the Netherlands would rate the business climate lower than good. More than 60 foreign companies were included in the survey.

An important percentage of investment projects in the Netherlands come from Asia, however, the United States remains one of the most important foreign direct investors in the Netherlands, creating the most new jobs and investing the largest amounts in projects throughout the Netherlands. Asia, Europe and even China and South Korea choose the country as a business destination.
